Nurses
Head Nurse – Sandra Kee. Sandra has worked at the clinic since it opened in 1986 (May 11th!) Before this she worked with eventers and then locally at a mixed yard where she was involved with breaking and schooling youngsters. She divides her time between nursing at the clinic and grooming for Ian’s hunters.
Lucy Barrow - Lucy joined Bushy in July 2005 after completing a year placement at Willesley Equine Clinic. Lucy qualified as an Equine Veterinary Nurse in 2008 and has a keen interest in racing and foal intensive care. Lucy enjoys hacking and hunting at high speed! Lucy is currently on Sabatical at a large thoroughbred stud in New Zealand
Siobhan Robinson -Siobhan joined us in August 2009 after completing a college course in equine studies. Siobhan has spent a number of years working and riding at a professional eventing yard in Oxfordshire. Siobhan intends to train for the Royal College Equine Veterinary Nursing qualification.
Zoe Fowler- Zoe joined Bushy in November 2004 as a part time member of staff. Shortly afterwards she commenced the RCVS equine veterinary nursing course at Hartpury which she hopes to complete very soon. Outside of work Zoe has two horses, one of which she competes at riding club and BE level and the other is a lovely retired hunter.
Office
Kay House - Having joined bushy in 1997 Kay is the most experienced member of our office team. She deals mainly with the accounts and organising the daily running of the veterinary team. In her spare time she enjoys walking her dogs Ruby and Seth.
Trish Day - Trish joined the practice in 1998 as a veterinary nurse. In 2000 she hung up her wellies and joined the office team to allow more time to event her horse. Trish left for a short time in 2007 on maternity leave and since having her daughter, Poppy, she has returned to Bushy part time.
Amanda Rolfe - Amanda joined the reception team October 2007. Amanda previously worked for one of our local livery yards where she currently keeps her horse, Missy. Amanda is bringing Missy on and hopes to compete her early next year. Amanda is an essential part in the smooth running of the office.
Cardiff
Office/Reception
Karen Davies – Karen has recently joined the Bushy team, as a valuable member of the office staff. Karen runs the Office in Cardiff. Karen can help you with appointments, accounts and general enquiries. Outside of work Karen enjoys endurance riding when time permits
Failand
Nurses
Head Nurse – Brenda Wade. Brenda joined Bushy in 2002 after working for the Avon & Somerset Police as their groom. In her spare time Brenda is kept busy with her two Welsh ponies, one of which she enjoys driving.
Libby Atherton - Libby joined the Failand clinic in May 2005 having previously worked as a groom on a competition yard for 4 years. Libby’s main role is inpatient care, though she can be a little squeamish! In her spare time she competes her own horses in affiliated show jumping and dressage, and is bringing on her home bred youngster. She also runs to keep fit.
Natasha Curtis. - Tash joined the Failand clinic in May 2005. She is a highly versatile member of the team and can be found assisting vets, sorting insurance claims, carrying out general nursing duties and is often the friendly efficient voice on the end of the phone. She has a keen interest in youngstock and breeding. Outside work she enjoys exercising her collie dog, Jake.
